All children have the right to thrive in a safe, stable and loving family. Children's Aid Societies have the legal responsibility to keep children safe throughout the province and provide mandated services to protect and care for children. Although mandated services are funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, programs to enrich the lives of children rely on generous donations. Enrichment and education programs for children and youth are made possible through generous donations from corporations, organizations and individuals.

You can have a positive impact on Oxford County's most vulnerable children and youth by making a donation to the Society. Every contribution, no matter how big or how small, is greatly appreciated. Three ways that you can assist us in making a difference in the lives of children and families in Oxford County:

Endowment Fund

The Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County has a donor designated Endowment Fund within the Oxford Community Foundation that was established by the Board of Directors in 2011.

The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to enable the Society to direct donations to a fund that will be used to help improve and support the lives of children, youth and families who are living in Oxford County and involved with the Oxford Children’s Aid Society.

The Endowment Fund is used to provide:

• Financial assistance and support for youth pursuing post-secondary academics.
• Specialized programs for families and their children living in our community who are receiving service from the Society.
• Opportunities for children and youth to participate in community activities and programs that they would not otherwise be able to.
• Support for new initiatives or pilot programs that address service gaps in child welfare or family violence.

Camp for Kids

Every kid deserves the opportunity to enjoy the experiences of summer camp. The “Camp for Kids” fund provides fees to day and overnight camps for children and youth who would not otherwise be able to go without some financial assistance. Making crafts, meeting new friends and enjoying the great outdoors are just a few of the memories these campers will have, thanks to donors like you.

Provides food vouchers, beds, and other items needed by families who receive service from the Society.
